Piano Lab Mission

My philosophy is to support and enliven the natural musician that exists in everyone through teaching the acquisition of skill and technique, theory and reading along with improvisation and musicianship. My teaching is rooted in pleasure and based in the experience of making music where you are, right away. It is a blast. We work with the piano and rhythm instruments as well as Orf instruments. We approach composition, reading, theory and improvisation all at the same time. When I say we, I mean my four year olds as well as my forty years olds. I teach each student differently, based on their learning style and who they are. I work with developing new brain pathways to apprehension.

I find it a very rewarding and effective way to go about things. I have alot of fun with my students. We have music salons and I encourage the whole family to enjoy music together.
